god, I remember when we got new light fixtures for a new house when we were kids. round globes that were flush to the ceiling that probably cost $20, my parents were not so much interested in the giant chrome things I wanted.
You know, she's so agreeable and mellow, she probably wouldn't care much. But I really like allowing the kids to have input and allow them to express themselves in their living spaces.
