Because books.

Especially when paired, naked, as Glamrockers with Ewan.

I'm ashamed to admit I have yet to see that movie. Which is really inconceivable, because it is so clearly a perfect thing.

Hey Brenda, are you still in Memphis this weekend for a wedding? If so, let me know if you'd like to meet up while you're in the area.

“Not dead yet!”

Oh dear heart. You must. It's a beautiful thing. Especially when you add Christian Bale to the mix as an adorably geeky journalist.

One word of warning, Amy. This is the movie that proves there is a hairstyle so bad that even Bale's attractiveness can be dispelled by it. Fortunately he's only wearing it part of the time.

Because books.

I'll consider myself warned.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

william Defoe does not do a thing fo r me. and Miles is not preternatural. However, all the rest I find fascinating in one way or another.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

The defining quality of preternatural on that list seems to be "big and/or weird and/or long nose". I do not agree with this definition.

That said, I find them all dreamy -- but Bowie is the only alien in the bunch.

I met Iman once. It was like talking to art. Seriously, its like the Almighty said, "Just for kicks, I'll make a PERFECT one!" and then really had at it.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

HA! I'm at an academic decathlon workshop and the guy who is leading the workshop (who is brilliant btw), just used Take Me Out to the Ballgame, first in Major Scale then in Minor Scale to show how different those scales are and how they manipulate listeners emotions.

It was way way way cool. I've never heard TMOttB in minor scale. Interesting.
