Yeah, a couple of those choices baffled me, Crispin Glover being one of them. I can get behind the Adrien Brody sexiness, though, and Tim Curry in RHPS, oh my god yes indeed.
Only one on that list I disagree with is Willem Dafoe. I don't find him preternatural or beautiful.
Brody has the same kind of ethereal beauty that Tilda Swinton exhibits. It's an inhabited beauty, too, you can see there's a Mind inside a remarkable Chassis.

Me either, really. The one time I found him sort of attractive was in the counterfeiting montage in To Live and Die in L.A., and ... I'm not sure why.
Ok, Mick Jagger: hot or not?
Personally, I sorta' flip-flop on this one....

Depends on the era, the attitude. There are some pictures of young Mick that are lovely.
I think the "preternatural" part of the "beauty" is what puts me off. Too...something. Fey, maybe, in the case of JRM and Adrien Brody.
I'm down with Bowie being attractive currently, though.
To me preternatural has always meant that exactly -- fey, sort of otherworldly. For me, Bowie is that. The others, not so much. Tim Curry, for instance, is so solidly earthy to me, very lush, you know?

Yeah -- Miles Davis and Willem Dafoe, for instance, I wouldn't call fey. But they have a cheekbone thing going on, and spooky eyes. Maybe that's what makes them preternatural.
