I have a ridiculous amount of grading to do. I wouldn't if I never assigned work, but that seems unlikely. Oh man. Noah is asleep in bed with K and there is nothing I want to do more than join them. But if I do my grading now, it won't hang over me.

Honeymoon is over for friend's stepson a week out of inpatient treatment. Now more work begins. A few months until he hits 18 and they have no control, at which point, I predict tsuris for her husband. I've told them to stick with counseling. Me giving relationship advice is kinda comical, given I've never had one. But I watch people? Crossing fingers.

On Tuesday, K and I had dinner at Bacaro, a place that does the Italian version of tapas down by USC. The food was terrifyingly good -- scallops in a garlic butter sauce with fresh corn, pizza with bechamel sauce, one of the most amazing caprese salads with pesto.
But the best? Dessert: Grilled Nutella Panino. Holy mother of good. It had sliced strawberries and nutella inside with a sprinkling of powdered sugar on top. So delicious. Anyway, info on Bacaro here: [link] So good

My dad had pigs for a while. But then he got tired of feeding them in winter, so he sold them. A week later the pigpen was destroyed by fire after being hit by lightening.

ooooh! And in other randomness? Grace got her glasses today. The nurses were really worried about how she would respond as girl HATES any change. So they had to hold her hands when her glasses went on. But then she left them on. I think her vision really was a problem because she seemed to be okay with them on, which seems to indicate that seeing is really exciting. In fact she fell asleep with them still on her face.
