She's not upset - kind of tickled by the idea. (Not like the first tooth she got that got lost in a crack in her window, and we had to get a pry bar, and there were tears.) Also, she told me she thinks the tooth fairy is mom and dad. She's not wrong...

Because books.

What aurelia said! Aw, poor kid. And the first one, too! Oh, it's not the first one? Well, that's better!

This is actually the third - but the honking big front ones are sure more noticeable! And the first two the new tooth was already in behind.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

and because it shouldn't be in the same post.

I am not sure if my morbid curiosity is gonna get the best of me but I may have to seek out a book on this case. at 13 she had had drugs before, had been drunk before and had already had sex twice, if I read that police interview correctly. seriously.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Missing a front tooth definitely gives a kid a Big Kid look!

I am so annoyed -- I was cleaning my kitchen so my super can come in the morning, and I broke a nail! This is why cleaning is no good. Man, they were frigging perfect.

She said she found and took part of a Quaalude once when she was "really little" - 10 or 11. And she totally recognized the pill, was able to recite the writing on it. That part I think is part of the "it was 1970s Hollywood," and clearly there was some really poor parenting going on in general. But, you know, not the child's fault.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Woo hoo, Dana!!!

Yeah, there are tsunami warnings all over the Pacific, including Calif./Oregon coast.

Holy cow. Surf's up indeed.

Because books.

I might be interested in a book on the case, too, msbelle. I used to edit a lot of true crime, and I read so much of it for a while, but it's been years. The well-written and researched stuff can be fascinating.

Both of Sara's front top two are loose, and one of them is so wiggly, it's hanging low. Maybe I should give her an apple!

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

She said she knew what the writing was because she'd seen pictures of it on t-shirts.
