How can I convince my co-worker that the state of Massachusetts is not going to barge in to every citizen's home and force them to have a flu shot?

A coworker of mine once was afraid that cloning would mean that people would clone themselves and keep the poor clones for spare body parts, a la "The Island". I convinced her it would never happen by pointing out how much it would cost.

Turns out, I'm going to see Fame tonight. And then tomorrow night, I'm going to see Night of the Living Dead: The Musical! which a friend is in. Yay!

A former super once told me about a Korean War Bride who had been in her rent-controlled apartment in my building for 50 years, and was paying something like $150/month. The husband had died years earlier. (FTR, my rent in that building was $1600/month.)
