What's hilarious, Nora, is I feel (without actually being there!) that JP is the Park Slope, Brooklyn, of Boston (maybe of 5-10 years ago). And I am totally judgy about Park Slope! Upping my price limit a little in my search opened up more South End places. Also, what about the North End? That seems cute, but possible awkward to live in.
Natter 64: Yes, we still need you
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
If you don't have a car, the North End is a great place to live. (so I hear) Even with a car, it's just that parking is a headache.
I have no car! And no plans to get one -- I figure I can make it work for a year if it turns out I need one, and then I can just move.
I am in the airport, waiting for my flight to NY. Everyone else seems ot be going to U2 and/or a Yankees game. Not me.
Also, going through security made me realize I have no concept of what size a quart is.
The large group of Newfoundlanders behind me are going to U2.
It's supposed to hit 80 today so I wore short sleeves. Unfortunately, my office is FREEZING. Maybe time to break out the emergency sweater.
That's because you live in socialist canadia with the freaky metric system!
I have been seriously thinking of converting to the metric system for pattern making, because it is so much easier to divide things using centimeters and millimeters rather than fractions of inches. The trouble is I have such an innate sense of how big and inch is that it might drive me nuts.
Sue - I forgot to tell you, I am kinda unreachable 11:40 - like 1:30. oops.
Leif make the big choice. Stay overnight with grandparents and miss his soccer game, or skip staying overnight and go to his soccer game. It was tough, but he went with grandparents.
