I may not be as small as I was 16 years ago, but hotdamned, I am a lot more fit, happy with myself and in a better headspace. Some of that recent, but the latter, well. As bad as I've been in that time, had more confidence than I did back there. Still no interest in going to a reunion. I've found those I want to, screw the rest. Besides, small town, it's all been shared.

I mean, I know I'm not starting out the same place as everyone else when I train for krav--I put on muscle easily, I'm shamelessly aggressive in the ring, I'm pretty good at reading the fight. But damn if there aren't people born doing what I work at who I envy painfully. It's always like that if you're not named Phelps or Bolt or Armstrong, and even them will probably find a time when it passes.
Speaking of McDonald's, here's a density map. Man, the eastern side of the country is saturated.
Watching Criminal Minds. No pigs so far. YAY

I have to work extra hard to swallow my bitterness when I'm in yoga and the lithe young thing just does whatever I can't do, which some days, feels like everything. Of course, the point of yoga is learning to be content with where you are. But I'm still working that piece of magic.
The other three-year-old can't even do some of them, like chin-ups and sit-ups, and it just seems unfair to put him next to this super-strong kid for comparison.
Bo Jackson was like that. He never worked out and was freakishly strong and fast. He just had the kind of muscles that needed practice to stay super toned. I don't think he lifted any weights until the very end of college. He just didn't need it.
This kid was also walking at something like five months old, and able to walk up and down stairs before he was a year old.
I can't find the best pictures to illustrate it, but when I was told that Ed Quinn doesn't hit the gym, he just looks like that, I was envious on behalf of many men.

Don't get me started about the young. You're the young.
HA. I might be young, relatively. But, ita, these are like 19 year olds. One of my favorite instructors is pregnant and for the first time she has breasts. I've been like, "SEE! This pose? If you have boobs it's impossible. and now you can't do it either!"
Anyhow, I should go to bed but (a) I'm not sleepy and (b) I have work to do and (c)I'm reeling for the horrible terrible no good very bad thing that was in the diaper pail.
I am so tempted to ask you what it was Kat, but I know I'd regret it.
