"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Okay, this is kind of money:

Swedish Bank Robbers Pull Off Daring Heist

In a scene that could have been lifted from a James Bond flick, a gang of heavily armed thieves used explosives and a stolen helicopter to pull off a spectacular multimillion-dollar heist in Sweden.

About 15 minutes later, they were back on the roof with bags of money and made a quick getaway in the waiting chopper.

Police had tried to stop the robbers - but were foiled before the drama even started.

The crooks had left spikes on the roads near the bank to puncture cops' tires and planted explosives at the police heliport to prevent them from taking off.

AWESOME.

Our wings are not tired.

If you survive getting thrown out of the car, I'm totally making you pay for the windshield.

Do what you want in your own car dude, but I'm not letting you get thrown around and hurt me. Yes, I have said that to belt objectors in my car.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yes, still bitter about the casting for Time Traveler's Wife, why do you ask?

Did you see it? Do you not like McAdams? I've liked her in what I've seen her in. Who would you rather have playing the role? What did you think of Bana's casting?

Okay, no more questions. I should eat something. I haven't eaten yet today.

I don't think they're corralative. Salary really depends on industry, years of experience, education level, the type of company (non-profit, small corporate, large corporate), benefits included, bonus and/or commission potential.

Yes, except my particular job does have certain skill set requirements (even compared to other people with this job title at this company) that makes our pay somewhat laughable, especially given the location. If I'm a valued employee, I think they should feel concerned if almost any other corporate job I took in this area would beat my current salary.

I mean, I started on the higher end of the scale and it would take me 10 years of 5% raises to reach median income. Interns at my former housemate's company make my salary.

Certain aspects of the job used to make the trade-off worth it, but those aspects don't really exist anymore.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I really like McAdams in general.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

All of the Rachels are excellent, but nobody who saw Slings and Arrows would chuck McAdams. F-able.

Weisz is nice. She's my M.

If Ms. Bilson were in her Wonder Woman outfit I'd think twice though.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Well, I'm not snarking at Starbucks (I get coffee there frequently), or Apple (currently on one). Just the the idea of the cards.

Without some serious regulation, gift cards are evil. They're so handy to use and give but given that some companies were screwing people out of their money on them, they also suck. Charges for NOT using the card, expiration dates on cards, etc. It's a big economic fuck-you to consumers.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

If not wearing a seat belt only killed the non-wearer, I'd be fine with it. If you're the driver, wearing a seat belt makes it possible for you to retain control over your vehicle after a crash, so you put other people at risk by not wearing it. If you're a passenger, you become a missile.

I worked for years for a company heavily committed to employee safety. On the short list of things you could be fired for instantly was not wearing a seat belt in a company car.
