Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Also, the Bible mentions male homosexuality five times, but doesn't mention lesbianism at all.

Very minor nit: isn't there something in the stuff Paul wrote about "...strange ways, men lay with men, women with women". However for us Jews I think the statement is true. Nothing in OUR bible about lesbians. Except maybe a passionate romance between two women if (as is often done) you interpret Naomi and Ruth that way. Really minor nit, because dead on in the main point.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Trudy, I just called. It went to voice mail.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I think the main reason that Dobson doesn't mention female homosexuality is because he's not a closeted Lesbian.

Some parishioner asked my great uncle John back in the sixties or seventies if homosexuality was a sin and he said that sin is temptation and he's never been tempted to have sex with a man so no.

Only he said it better an more poetic-like.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It rang multiple times before going to voicemail. Normally, if the battery is dead, it goes straight there, I thought.

Turns out the ringer was all the way down.

I need to get the book and check, but so far I've only been able to set a "master volume" on this bad boy. I need it low to talk and high to hear the ring. Um, duh? Different thingys phone people!

Coding and Sleeping

I put a new chapter version (1.5) on my blog "I Play a Writer on the Internet". I'm posting significant revisions to the first chapter and it sure has changed over time.
