I've been reading through the Slacktivist's deconstruction of the Left Behind book for the past week (it's very long, he's been writing weekly on it for the past 4 years) so it's enlightened me a lot about the wrong-headed theology/mindset that goes into people like Dobson and LaHaye.

Me too! I just finished reading all his Left Behind posts yesterday. It's an absolutely brilliant, spot-on deconstruction of the theology/soteriology, as well as lambasting the execrable writing.
Dobson and his ilk make me want to puke all over their shoes.
That would be a waste of vomit.
ION - Finger bat!!! Adorable.

I'm also amazed at how completely gay women are being ignored in this debate.
But then Queen Victoria set that precedent, I suppose.

Also, the Bible mentions male homosexuality five times, but doesn't mention lesbianism at all.
