Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I missed it, sadly, because of work. Stooopid work.

Stupid work indeed. But I think Noah was a proud proxy for you, even though he doesn't know it. And then K does actually know it, and can tell you about it.

There will be more firsts, and you will be there for lots of great moments.

I'm really happy for Grace. I think she'll be thrilled to be a walker. I'm irked because with Grace, it's all Grace's schedule. For weeks on end, she has been having fits when I make her stand on the floor. So now she's decided that it's okay.

Of course, that's Grace. All on her terms, damned the good will and useful interventions (which DO make a difference, she's just not going to play by their rules and cooperate as expected. Um, I may kinda identify with her contrariness.)

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What Are YOU Looking At?

You see a man walking down the street with hair like that - you know he ain't afraid of nothin'.

(Or however that quote goes.)

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'm irked because with Grace, it's all Grace's schedule.

There's so little she's in control of, really. She has to exercise her will where she can.

Oh Ginger, I know. (don't I know!!!) But everything is Grace's schedule. It always has been. And she's spoiled ROTTEN and willful to boot. The willfulness has kept her alive, but still. So spoiled.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I expect Grace has been indulged but I wouldn't think she's spoiled in her circumstances. She's got a hard gig. Besides, you can always bring the willful ones to heel with lots of timeouts when it's necessary. Sometimes.

Speaking of whom...

Hec, that's a very sweet essay. It's lovely to see his turnaround of attitude in his own words.

Yeah. As his Krav instructor told me, "He's got a lot of heart." Of course, that's more to do with his workout than his big brothering. Matilda sat yearning at the edge of the mat, and muttered plaintively, "I want to be brave!"

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Willful is a double-edged sword indeed. I swear that's all that's kept my Mom alive at times, but this past winter she was ready to stubborn herself to death.

At least Grace is going to grow UP... eventually.

And Gud,

I should point out that the Royals are no longer the worst team in the AL. This could be a good year for them. They even have a shot at not being the worst team in their division.

Until you just JINXED THEM!
