I've put up a clip from next weeks episode here: [link] . Pretty obviously, spoiler.
'Why We Fight'
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
If I found out I were dying, and it were possible, I'd do that. Of course, I'd be worried they'd only use the icky parts.
had to watch o Hulu, because I forgot to record. I think so far I liked this episode best, more because of what seems to happening in the Dollhouse. The actual story was missing something -- like , I had no idea what the cult was actually about.
I was kind of overly distracted by the fact that her name was Esther Carpenter...
I liked the "...and the message is, 'Move your ass!'" and I liked when she just hauled off and hit the dude who wanted to stay and burn. It's... I'm assuming that either her actual personality or some imprinting takes hold when she gets her back up against the wall?
I liked this one pretty well, too. This one and the caper one so far.
Man reaction. Oh, dear.
I've since seen the bad ATF agent in two things since the Dollhouse ep, and he was skank in both of them.
How can Not!Warren even identify and utilize the parts of an imprinted consciousness that will allow Actives to perform as high-class hookers if he's as arrested in dealing with sex as his conversation with the doctor demonstrated?
Sitting at a computer manipulating brain waves or whatever is probably easier for him than talking to a woman who is his equal.

He wasn't skank in Joan of Arcadia.
Who did he play in JoA? He looked familiar, but I kept trying not to see him as BatManuel, who is on Lost, anyway.
Pretty much everyone in the plot was in shades of grey -- the cult wasn't capital-E Evil, the ATF leader was crooked but On A Mission, et cetera. Hard to sympathize.
