Man, fuck Bill Cosby and his hypocritical self-righteous preaching. Fuck the cartoons and the pudding pops and the Huxtables.
This is not a new thought, I'm just reminded of it. Not only does it tarnish memories of him, but anyone who defends him is pretty complicit at this point. And I'm angry at him for taking away things I loved.

This. SO much this. Records I used to borrow from library as a kid, tainted forever.
Fuck the cartoons and the pudding pops and the Huxtables.
I'm with you, but this seriously made me LOL.
Does Jell-O even still make pudding pops any more? That product was so strongly associated with Cosby I can't imagine anyone looking at them in the store without all sorts of unpleasant connotations coming to mind.
I haven't seen them in the store in years.
According the internet, Jello licensed the name to the Popsicle company in 2004, who put out an inferior version until sometime around 2011 when they stopped producing them. [link]
When I was in 7th grade or so (late 80's) my friend's parent's worked in a pudding pop factory! There were so many weird flavors they brought home to try! I think it is weird that there was a pudding pop factory in western NY, but there used to be a lot of factories here.

Do you know if the facility was in Dunkirk? If so, I know the family that owned it back then!
it wasn't- it was near Avon, NY. So that means there were at least two of them!
So, I'm a guest liaison for hawaiicon this year, and Nick, Emma, Charisma, and Amber are here (I'm not gl for them. I've got one of the Star Wars people.). I've been busy, but I did get to go to the main stage Buffy panel, which was cool. I keep bouncing back and forth between wondering how much Kai's letter is inflecting some stuff, though no one is talking about it (like, damn, that one girl's "Joss Whedon is why I have trust issues" shirt reads different) and how much people here are just oblivious, as there's a lot of 100-level content, which is appropriate for most of the rooms
I'm still giving Joss the stink-eye, but I probably will give it a try. (Not that I have HBO.)

HBO has given a series order to "The Nevers," a science-fiction drama from Joss Whedon. The series is described as a sci-fi epic about a gang of Victorian women who find themselves with unusual abilities, relentless enemies, and a mission that might change the world.
