Clint's family should be his brother and Pizza Dog.
Word.
Clint's family only shows up in the Avengers Ultimates universe--where Natasha kills them, for some reason. Joss is said to love Ultimates, which is why he pulled in the family, but the studio stopped them from getting killed.
Where did you hear that Joss wanted to kill the family? All I've heard is that the studio didn't want the farm scenes at all and Joss had to fight hard to include them.
As far as Batgirl is concerned, is it wrong that I'd rather have a Super BFFs movie instead?
Fred had a good relationship with both her parents, didn't she? (I realize that may be the lone example in all of Joss' work. Though I don't think we heard much about anyone's parents on Firefly, other than the Tams'.)
Yes, Fred was on friendly terms with her parents, but they lived a long way from Los Angeles. They weren't a regular part of her life.
I got the feeling that Cordelia was on good terms with her father, but more as a cash machine than as a father.

One of a dozen random websites, I don't remember which. It may have been extrapolation from Joss' love of Ultimates and of offing people. Think was, no one on the website was surprised at the idea.

Jayne and Kaylee seemed to have good relationships with their parents, but they were only mentioned a couple times. Bad relationships are more interesting. Joss's writing overall became less interesting to me after he had his first kid and all the stories had to have a kid or a family in them. Even in Firefly, if it had continued, Wash and Zoe would've had a baby. Although Darla's pregnancy storyline was one of the best ever, and made her a far more interesting character than she'd been before (and she was pretty interesting before). That was the only time I've ever been super-invested in a fictional pregnancy. Unfortunately, after the baby was born, Angel became nearly unbearable.
Connie, didn't DC already go backsies on The Killing Joke?
I don't know, I haven't followed Batman since the early 2000s. After so long, I'm not surprised, but it's one of the best stories I've ever read.
sumi,
Well, Barbara Gordon can walk and is Batgirl again, but the events of The Killing Joke happened.(she had an experimental procedure done to regain her ability to walk)
Huh, just last night I read a Birds of Prey number one where half of it was Barbara being Batgirl but having flashbacks back to The Killing Joke.
Thanks Sheryl, I stopped reading Batgirl a while back.
