LOVED Cal going completely batshit crazy - he was so totally gleeful about it. And I kind of liked that he can be happy, even though the non-consensual mindwipe is an issue. I'm hoping Jemma comes out of the black goo (any relation to the black oil in X Files?) and continues on the show.
One question - with Gordon gone, are any Inhumans left behind stuck up in the mountains (are they near Nanda Parbat (however you spell that) which seems to have a truly amazing transportation system)?
We don't know the mindwipe was non-consensual, perhaps it was presented to him as an option to being in a cell for the rest of his life. Regardless, I shall miss his "Yup, I'm nuts, and it's kind of fun" approach. His arc is fascinating, Jaiying, too, because she had a damned good reason for going off the rails. Hydra must have been feeding her people to heal her, probably prisoners from her own village, just to make the horrific torture even worse.
But I did not expect Cal to be the woobie in that situation.
And I think Gemma's going to come out of that goo, but how and in what condition will be iffy.
HOLY SHIT THAT WAS FUCKING FANTASTIC.
Still processing it all.
I need a Fitz "Science, Beeyotch" T-shirt. right now.
A tiny part of me is going "what the hell kind of alien technology enclosure is flimsy enough that it falls apart when Fitz leans on it?" But most of me is curled up in a ball in the corner JEMMA NOOOOOOO.
Cal was just so delightful. And Clark Gregg had some wonderful expressions on his face of being bemused how gleefully crazy he is.
Stark is pretty good at cybernetics. I'm just saying.
Also: you can tell how important Skye is to Coulson when he
lets her drive Lola
whaaaaaaat.
OK, loved the show ... but at the end ... he lets Skye drive LOLA???
ha, we're on mind meld, Toddson and I.
I went to "Dad gave her the keys to his baby!" But it's not like he's in a position at the moment to drive her himself. Maybe there will be a scene in next season's pilot where he tells Skye to give him back the keys and he knows very well that she took Lola on a joyride and scratched her and had Mack fix it and try to cover it up.
Any scene with Phil and Cal was a delight. "Hi, I've snarked with gods and died for it, I think my nerve can handle pinning you to a wall and destroying your world view."
I'm thrilled to pieces that Cal was able to come around and see how he'd been used. "I want to help you" gave me such happy chills.
I ♥ed Cal so much in this entire season. I wish there was a way to bring him back in season 3 that isn't just Skye pining from a distance.
