I like that all the women are pretty badass in their own ways. And I want to know what Jiayang is up to being so nice to Cal. Her long game is pretty opaque to me. Everyone has to stay safe! I'm waiting for her to hook up with Magneto.
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
Yeah, weird to say, but Cal is way too trusting. He's trying so hard, but he's still got that core of "hate you all, kill you all".
When I watch him, I get the feeling of this amiable guy with a hairtrigger ... one wrong word, one wrong tone and BAM!
It just about broke my heart when he said "I didn't count to ten", like he's made that promise in the past to Janying. And she's running all her own plots. It makes me wonder why she married him.
They were younger, fell in love ... then she was vivisected and he was ... whatever happened with him ... lost their child ....
Or, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
I hope so. She just seemed embarrassed when talking about Daisy/Skye's birth and Cal tracking down a car. But fond memories, which may not even have been fond in the past, can change.
I liked seeing Skye try out "Daisy Johnson" as a name.
I like the way they lined up the episode with the release of AoU (like last year's TWS) but I'm also not seeing the film until next week at the earliest so I guess I'll have to skip AoS for a week or two.
What does Gonzales have in the storage hold that Coulson threatened him with? They didn't say, did they?
It was nice seeing the team back together, even though I found Ward's "we all made mistakes" speech devoid of any detectable remorse. I do think the caring about Kara thing is genuine.
They didn't say, did they?
No, they didn't, but Gonzalez lost some of his bravado when it was mentioned. Bobbi is not happy at the way Gonzalez wants to hang on to people
I saw jets lifting off in the preview. Were those from Gonzalez' carrier or were they in Afterlife?

Enhanced people, right? It seems like he just wants to quarantine them just because of powers, but it's a fine line between that and Hydra's experimentation protocols.
I don't really remember the preview. I was too absorbed with the sneak peak at Battle of New York, Part Deux.

They still haven't told us. Only that whatever it is was dangerous enough that they were going to sacrifice themselves and sink the ship to keep HYDRA's hands off it in the flashback episode.
