I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I've always thought Dichen Lachman has all the acting talent of a cigar store Indian, so she's actually been outperforming expectations for me in this role.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I thought she did well in Dollhouse, but that's the only thing I've seen her in. Well, there was something else, but it was more of a blink and you'll miss it role.

Oscar-Winnng Writer to 'Re-Invent' MARVEL Superhero For Secret New ABC Series:

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that John Ridley, writer/producer of the award-winning film 12 Years A Slave, is working with Marvel Studios on a new television series for ABC. This would be the third Marvel series for ABC after Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter - fourth, if you factor in the reported Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff in development.

EW's sources tell them that Ridley's Marvel project "involves reinventing an existing Marvel superhero character or property" but don't narrow down the field.

Ridley is no stranger to comics, having written several titles for DC's now-defunct Wildstorm imprint including The American Way and a one-shot of The Authority.

I didn't know he'd written comics!

Thrive to spite them

I thought Dichen Lachman did a lot better in Dolhouse portraying different characters than Eliza Dushku

No question. I thought she was great on that show and feel something is off about her here. Feels very forced.

Maybe that's a deliberate choice. Maybe some of the ruling elders/WSC/Hydra/Kree (or whoever's pulling the strings) are forcing her in some way.

brillig

Or she's already gone through the mist. She apparently doesn't age, and she managed to recover from being vivisected, with help.
