It's called a blaster, Will, a word that tends to discourage experimentation. Now, if it were called the Orgasmater, I'd be the first to try your basic button press approach.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

The girl being the problem caught me by surprise and then I felt foolish considering I had spent the whole episode thinking "super strength and mind control are a really weird power combination."

I was right there with you - I didn't realize someone else was responsible for the mind control until Eva repeated it during her confrontation with May.

I got the impression that Phil was thinking of May for the Avengers.

Do you mean Eva?

I saw the girl twist coming from about the time May spotted the first Shield agent acting weird, though at first I thought Eva was also under mind control and it was just the girl who was causing the real problem, but the mother/daughter thing made more sense.

Maybe its because I've been mainlining Daredevil this week, but the pacing on AoS seemed very slow. And I'm getting rather tired of Skye's extremely extended tutorial on controlling her earthquakey powers. Focus, Vibrate, Look Surprised. Rinse and repeat.

No, May. That conversation about powered people and Phil looking at May significantly and her insisting that she wants to stay in the field.

I think we're in filler territory what with the run-up to Ultron and having 18 shows of plot for 20+ episodes to fill.

I didn't pick that up, but the timing lines up. And he did add black widow and hawkeye who aren't really powered (or fitted up with supertech) either.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I kept waiting for the actress to say, "Skye, I am your mother"

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

I kept waiting to care what was happening with Skye.

I think that I will wait a loooooooong time for that.

I'm finding Skye a bit more interesting now than I expected to in the beginning. I think her shooting Wade sort of moved her into the "characters I care about" column.

It still miffs me that the show revolves around Skye to such a degree, but at least with the Inhumans storyline there's a plausible reason for it (as opposed to Skye being a special snowflake because she's an ace hacker who can... look someone up on facebook).
