This is not funny. This... this is a morality tale about the evils of sake.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I was thinking she might be an early Red Room alumna, rather than Natasha specifically. But, yeah, something along those lines.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I don't know enough of the mythos of Black Widow. I've heard of the Red Room, but don't really know what it means/entails. I know she and Bucky knew each other. That's about it. I should pick up some back issue compilations on her.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My thinking is Dottie would have to be affiliated either with Hydra or someone with access to former Hydra intelligence to know who Peggy is.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Dottie took out that guy with a move that reminded me strongly of Black Widow, so I'm thinking Red Room, possibly. That was already in operation at this time period, I think?

I wasn't thinking Dottie, I was thinking "It's just a little girl."

As I understand it, the Red Room Academy was a Soviet program devoted to training assassins from childhood. In some Marvel storylines, Bucky was also associated with the Red Room, and helped train Natasha. I think the Marvel Movie/TV universe is moving in a different direction from the last bit, though.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I think "just a little girl" is too young to be Natasha - if she were 8 in the 1940s, she wouldn't be ScarJo's age in the present day.

That's what the Red Room *wants* you to think.

Or maybe she just looks really good for someone in their 80s!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I can't figure out how Bucky could have trained Natasha. How is he still (a) alive and (b) young? Cryosleep in between missions, okay, but then he couldn't have done anything else.
