I get a bit of a Wesley vibe off of Jarvis, which I quite like.
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
I assume Wise is playing a 40s version of Roxxon president Hugh Jones. Villainous masterminding seemslikely.
Well, it's not Carter's fault Howard's license plate just turned up in the Roxxon debris.
Something funny is up with that waitress.
For one thing, she's a waitress at an automat! They aren't supposed to have waitresses, are they? I thought that was the point.
What was Leet drawing before he croaked? Something that looked like a heart with a tongue sticking out, which did not look like a Hydra symbol. Hmm.
I'm also wondering if any of the friendlies would turn out to be Hydra, in order to provide some thematic tie-ins with CA:TWS and Agents of SHIELD. Sousa or Angie from Automat, perhaps.
I didn't watch I was waiting to see the Buffista reaction. I don't know how the waitresses were portrayed in the show but Automats did have women working in uniform who put the food in the sections and maybe cleared tables. Of course my Automat knowledge is limited to what I've seen in movies like A Touch if Mink.

I am calling them the Squiggly Butts.
The automat and the diner were two different venues, I believe.

That would make me feel better.
I'm suspecting something is shifty with the waitress (even though I like her) and/or with the women's apartment she got Peggy into. (My grandma lived in a similar situation in nursing school, and she routinely sneaked out her window after curfew.)
I'm also somewhat dim, because while I was watching, I thought, "Man, the Roxxon executive looks a LOT like Leland Palmer!" And then I looked on IMDB. Duh, Steph. Duh.
