I am quite concerned about Simmons. She seemed overly bitchy. But Skye actually had something to do and performed pretty competently.

Both characters seemed off. Since when has Skye shown such leadership competence?

Who played the happy former agent who built the model of the city? He looked familiar to me, and not just because he sort of resembled CFerg.

I wasn't sure which show you would know him from. He's one of those actors that has been in a few episodes of a lot of different things.

So I suspect both Ward and Skye's dad are playing Whitehall, which makes him a kind of crappy HYDRA leader.

And based on the previews, apparently the electrocution fused the mask to Not!May's face.

I'm hoping they find a way to put her in future episodes even if it is in flashbacks. I've loved that actress since Dollhouse.
