Fitz, no! Too sad!
Coulson, you can't be this stressed, it's only the first episode. Give yourself until the midseason finale to have a mental breakdown, k?
Skye's bangs are very S1 Buffy.
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

I'm very much not digging Skye's bangs. /shallow
All in all, I thought it was a good episode, though a little too dark and serious. It could have used a little more funny.
Poor Fitz was heartbreaking even before we found out Simmons was imaginary.
The Absorbing Man was very well-done.
How many dang immortal Nazis are there in the Marvel Universe? Red Skull (thought he may be dead in the MCU), Baron Zimo, Baron Strucker, now this Whitehall guy?
Oh, Fitz.
All that hype about Lucy Lawless and that's it?
It sounds like my wish for Patton Oswalt to be at every secret base is very possible.
All that hype about Lucy Lawless and that's it?
Please, this is Marvel, if stabbing someone through the heart doesn't kill someone, then cutting off their hand and having their vehicle roll won't do it.
But, yeah, grim. I guess they had to prove "Yeah, we can do serous, we're not just the Marvel movies little spin off." But a bit of snark would be pleasant.
And a bit of Stark! Come on, will someone this season please say "We should ask Stark for help already!" Even if it is just for Coulson to say, "No, I'm hoping he still believes I'm dead."
I did not see the thing with Simmons coming, though I did wonder why she was hovering like that. And the hand on the shoulder became ominous.
Koenig coaching Coulson on how to be Talbot! "Go bigger. Too much!"
They totally fooled me on Simmons not being real. I should watch the episode again to see how everyone is (not) reacting to her ala The Sixth Sense.
I was thinking more that Fitz had forgotten he loved her or something like that, the way he was snapping at her.
And where is Simmons, anyhow? Is that who Coulson was talking to about pay phones?

I like them.

I was thinking this too.

I thought there was a good amount of snark for a serious episode, especially since I watched it immediately after watching the Gotham premiere, which really really needs some snark imho.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was fooled that Simmons wasn't real. I gasped at the reveal.
I had NO IDEA Simmons wasn't real! I felt horrible for Fitz, probable because losing one's intellect is a fear of mine, and my Dad is going through it.
I'm not sure Lawless/Hurley is dead. She looked unconscious, and pretty messed up, but one ep? I don't think so.
And Agent Carter! And the Howling Commandos! WOO! LOVE!
BTW, anyone know which Howling Commando was Tripp's grandfather?
And at the end, did they steal a general military sleath bomber, or a confiscated SHIELD plane?
UGH -- Sleepy Hollow and SHIELD both conflict with my yoga nights! SO STRESSFUL. Thank dog for DVR.
They specifically said they were after a quinjet.
BTW, anyone know which Howling Commando was Tripp's grandfather?
The black one?
Seriously, his name was Gabe Jones.
