I missed this business about the Attic. I was very sleepy when I watched the episode, and most of the last twenty minutes is very hazy since I stopped caring about the A-plot. What's the Attic?
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
What's the Attic?
we don't know much. only that it's the place they put the retired and/or deactivated Actives.
she didn't choose to be kidnapped!
Presenting a self-avowed #1 fan with an acclaimed #1 fan doesn't have to result in kidnapping, but it's really very likely to distract the nutcase.
Plan A: Take out assassin. Backup to plan: Distract assassin.
Hulu's being a bitch to me, so I can't retrieve the quote, but Britchick is definitely talking about Sierra in the snippet I'm remembering.
only that it's the place they put the retired and/or deactivated Actives.
I thought you got to go back to the real world once your tenure as an Active was over. Or is the Attic where you fulfill the rest of your contract if you suck?

I found the exchange:
Dominic: "Sierra's been kidnapped."
DeWitt: "Ah. She drew his focus away from Rayna. Well, that was a good call."
Dominic: "Thank you. Her handler's outside the location. I told him to wait for our team."
DeWitt: "Yes, that's best. Echo?"
Dominic: "On task. Still protecting Rayna."
who is Dominic?
I think he's the smarmy guy that hates Echo.
who is Dominic?
The jerkface head of security who said something nasty to Echo after she was back in the dollhouse after being manhunted in the 2nd ep. That's what led to Echo doing the arm thump thing.
Oh, I thought his name was Lawrence. I didn't recall him being quite so calm about the Sierra kidnapping.
