There's just something sweet about when May needs serious help, she calls her mom. Her badass mom. "*My* agency didn't fall apart." I suspect many "my agency is better than your agency" snits in the past.
I love how they drop bits of Marvel backstory into things, like Gabriel Jones being Trip's grandfather. And "Fury designed this thing. He wanted something even Romanov couldn't beat." "Did she?" "Like Fury would say!" Surprisingly subtle, the way his injuries were established, then the injuries being useful for working against the polygraph--and Ward having to scramble for something to cover him. Not as good as Romanov, are you, dude?
I do not think Ward is in a place where Skye can redeem him with love--even if she wanted to, which I don't think she does anymore. Euw, she's going to have to play along with his moves now. Heck, Ward even looks different know that we know he's evil.
Still miss Eric the surprisingly badass agent.
Good goddamn, this show.
It's like the writers said, "Wow, finally, Winter Soldier's out and we can tell the *real* stories now." Almost as good as a sudden reveal of a villain, complete with "Of course, now I'll have to kill you" sprinkles.

That's exactly it. I saw
Dollhouse.
I knew Mo and Jed could tell complex, twisted, emotional, character-based stories. NOW THEY HAVE BEEN UNLEASHED.

NOPE. Which is awesome. I loved her breakdown in the bathroom. Her entire world is collapsing, it's such a betrayal on so many levels. I hope Skye takes him down.
I loved her breakdown in the bathroom.
Me, too. I thought Chloe Bennet did a good job.
Yeah, quiet, terrified, knowing exactly what's going on, knowing she's alone with a cold-blooded, ruthless killer. I bet the actor who plays Ward is having more fun, too--though I bet the first time he read that script he went WTF? Unless they warned him?
They called him in one day to have a Talk. He thought he was being killed off. Instead they told him he was evil. He was excited.
"Oh, BTW? You're evil." "Yes!!"
edit: I was so pleased to see the guards at the Fridge saying "Nope, can't come in, protocol. Feel free to call Fury, protocol say you can't come in." Too bad the one guard didn't get to say to the one who opened the door: "See? See? This is why we have protocols!"
May's equally badass mother! I am excite.
I ADORED May's mom. I also was impressed with Skye's breakdown--best performance from CB I think I've seen yet.
So much "Oh, Mom" in that scene. Family holidays must have had much sighing and eye-rolling and "In my day"-ing. I hope we see much more of her. But just having her wander through occasionally may be fun.
