They made a big deal of Bill in the preview for next week.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You don't know Bill Paxton from Aliens, Twister, Apollo 13, True Lies, Titanic...?

The name was familiar, but that was it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I thought this was one of the best eps they've done. I liked the flashbacks and split narratives.

I don't think the show has quite earned a sadness montage for Skye. Everyone's individual reactions when they were getting her into the hyperbaric chamber, yes. But I did not need a montage of everyone looking sad in slow-motion on the plane. That was a little much.

I like that we're seeing more of Ward-the-newbie lately. It's easy to forget sometimes that he was only promoted to Level 7 in the pilot.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I think I've figured out why I like Arrow more than S.H.I.E.L.D. It's not that Arrow is any less stupid, it's that they keep the always keep the plot moving forward, always keep things suspenseful, so you don't have time to dwell on how stupid one particular plot point is. I think the S.H.I.E.L.D. folks are starting to figure that out, too.

I liked the twist with the sleep grenade, not an actual portal. And May going "You looked stupid."

Does Quinn have a beef against Coulson in particular? Do I just not remember that? And when he says stuff like "The best money can buy", I really wish someone would say "I don't see Stark's name on there anywhere."

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Eh, it didn't catch me, but I was tired and the split up narrative (they fell off the train three times?) was confusing to my tiny brain.

I was waiting for a Stark name drop too!

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I remain more pleased with Quinn than with Flowered Dress Girl, so I guess that's good. I enjoyed seeing JAR again. Even all scarred up, he's awfully pretty. Loved watching May be a total bad ass with the knife in her shoulder. Dude should have known that wasn't going to end well.

I still am not sure I care all that much about the Clairvoyant, but I'm beginning to care more about the people on the team so I suppose that's good. Except Ward. I still don't care anything for him at all. I'd rather have May hooking up with Coulson.

The May-Coulson Battered Veterans Together thing is great. Ward doesn't like being the Young, Pretty Distraction. I like the way the show can be subtle at times.

"You called me sweetheart." As soon as she said that, I thought, "There will be blood."
