I found the twins line utterly predictable. NSM for the show, as for the man, even though we knew so little of him.
The amount of stuff from the pilot confused me, because I stopped being able to remember what we'd already been shown.

TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.

I liked last night's a lot better than the other two. I especially liked that moment in the end where it's clear that Echo is started to remember pieces of her many lives, but--more interestingly--is conscious of the fact that she shouldn't let anyone else know that she's remembering. Potential for something interesting there.
Oh, yes. The A plot ... eh. Didn't hate it, didn't care overly much. The further exploration of Echo's sense of self? Yeah, that interested me.
It was also nice to not just see her out having sex with someone.
A month ago, I would have thought this sentence to be impossible.
something just occurred to me. Is Sierra remembering as well or is she just remembering dollhouse!echo?
It's not clear, Vortex.
If anybody is wondering re all the footage from the episode "Echo" - they shot 14 episodes on a 13 episode (and so budget) order. So stuff is reused throughout the series.
I couldn't tell, Vortex. Maybe a little of both? I thought Eliza had a nice handle on this persona, though. And a decent singing voice.
I enjoyed "Bitch, you can fire me, but don't think you can take me"
I think Sierra does remember something, because the whole reason behind the head shake was that Sierra looked like she was about to greet Echo or thank her, which she wouldn't normally do if they'd been wiped completely.
Also, with the way the wiped actives are so innocent, if Sierra didn't know/remember something she would wonder why Echo didn't want to talk to her.
There was a spec over on TWOP that when Echo walked in on Sierra's initial programming that it imprinted her and their friendship on Sierra. (And on Echo, I guess.) Similar to how the handlers are imprinted on the actives.
That was the most interesting part of the episode. (Also, I had not thought that Victor was an Active. I am simple that way.)
No, the Victor thing took me by surprise too. (But then I haven't watched the first episode, or the pilot script.)
