Well, I personally prefer season 3 of Buffy to 2, but only by a hair margin. Season 2's stand-alones were much much worse.
Season 2 had the better finale though, much as I loved the mayor.

you are probably right about that. The finale for 2 (for me) looms above all else.
As much as I loved season three, I think 'Becoming I & II', 'Passion' and the s2 finale are some of the best things that have ever been on TV. 'Out of Gas' and a couple of other Firefly episodes were very good, but not quite that good.
I was going to post that very thing, Rayne. i liked Dollhouse, but Buffy will always be number one.
I think what you saw aired real-time, first time, has a lot to do with its impact on you. There's something about discovering a show, devouring the weekly installment and waiting eagerly or anxiously, or both, for the next installment that has those episodes make a sharper impression. Having a place like this to discuss, and abilities to rewatch right away to deepen the impression, possibly adjust it with the additional perspective of other people's opinions, makes a big difference in how one feels and what one remembers about certain episodes and seasons of a show, as well. IMO, anyway.
Yeah, I think with that it`s probably just that Dollhouse is most recent.
Artwork and other information for the Dollhouse season 2 dvds.
Mo Ryan has a piece on the Joss & JJ panel at ComicCon and has an audio recording of the panel.
A question for the great minds here: a friend of mine just started watching Dollhouse, and she says that she thinks that the exact same scenes are being played in the first episodes of the first season every few scenes, quite randomly, but not in a flashbacky way.
Since it's been quite a while since I last watched the show, and since I have no memory or explanation to this - anyone here remembers this, and why?
That doesn't sound familiar.
