That's what we did, before Season Two started. We totally do not regret it. Not only does it make everything make more sense, it's probably the best episode of the series.
My only beef with E1 was that it actually went with a completely po-faced idiot plot moment at one point, which would be taking a shower alone in a very scary, isolated place. I don't think the identity of the killer was twist enough to offset that kind of slasher movie cliche.
This one time, at Latin Convention, there was a special meeting held to tell us all that it is dangerous to shower alone, so always bathe with a buddy. that would actually make sense in a post-apocalyptic scenario. At Latin Convention, to a group of teenagersm, it was titter-worthy.

I had a glorious dream featuring Mad-max Enver arriving to save the day in that crazy armored truck thing from E2. Not saying yet if that was in any way connected to finally watching E1.
Just re-watched E2, and damn that is one wonderful bit of television. Damn you Fux, damn you to HELLLLL!!!!
