Very much yes. I think she saved me some tooth enamel on that one.
Jossverse 1: Emotional Resonance & Rocket Launchers
TV, movies, web media--this thread is the home for any Joss projects that don't already have their own threads, such as Dr. Horrible.
You might want to hear Jessica's take on House--at least for the season premiere.
In a spoiler thread? I'll wait until I've seen it, but I'll look after that. Here's desperately hoping that House doesn't jump the shark. Or limp over it. As the case may be.
HIMYM will win out in that slot for me. To my surprise.
Sundays: TAR/Mad Men/Football
Mondays: HIMYM/Castle
Tuesdays: SYTYCD
Wednesdays: SYTYCD/Glee? If the minority/female characterizations stop sucking
Thursdays: I got nothing. I could see myself trying Bones/Fringe
Fridays: Oh, good, I get choices between potentially exploitative and offensive shows! I guess I'll start with Dollhouse rather than SGU. Oh, and Numb3rs, I still like Numb3rs.
Saturdays: Football
Hmm.
Thursdays: I got nothing.
Ha. That's when I got everything. Including Fringe, which I do recommend.

also, Supernatural and CSI are on Thursday.
Rats. My TV viewing was looking to be conflict-free, but the new Bill Lawrence comedy is scheduled for the same time slot as Glee.
I watched last week's Glee, and I honestly don't get the love for it. I mean, is the viewer supposed to be aware that the actors aren't actually singing, or are we supposed to believe that they are? Because oh, my god. It made me cringe.
The actors are singing. Half of them have serious Broadway cred. They're just overproducing the musical numbers, which I get, in a sense, but I wish they'd do it less obviously.
The actors are singing.
Seriously? Like the cheerleaders singing "I Say A Little Prayer"? That was actually them?
It sounds and looks like lip-synching to me.
They may be lip-synching to recordings of themselves, but yeah, they're singing.
Once music rights are cleared, songs are arranged and pre-recorded by the cast.
Auditioning actors with no theatrical experience were required to prove they could sing and dance as well as act.
From here.
And I have to say, aren't you like the opposite of the target audience for this show?
