Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

"V" is a re-imagining of the 1980's miniseries about the world's first encounter with an alien race in which the aliens call themselves The Visitors, and have a seemingly friendly agenda that may or may not be a cover for something more malevolent.

That sentence needs to be taken behind the barn and shot. Also: wow.

Trust my rage

I was not allowed to watch V when it was on back in the 80s. Too scary, according to my parents. I had totally forgotten that until just now.

well, if it makes you feel better, my parents were fairly TV-restrictive. All my friends were able to watch V, just not me.

OMG, I LOVED V. (didn't really mean to asscap the whole thing, just the "loved" part) But, I loved that freakin' show. Remember when Diana unhinged her jaw to eat the rat? Good times.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

The original V miniseries was awesome. It had echoes of Nazi Germany in the persecution of scientists and a very real sense of what it would be like to organize a resistance movement in the U.S. The second miniseries and the series had their moments, but they're also what gave me the conviction that "human-alien baby" equals "jumped the shark."

Remember when Diana unhinged her jaw to eat the rat?

I liked the flicking lizard tongues.

yes, they even had the elderly neighbor who'd been in a concentration camp. He was the one who started the "V" symbol.
