No, it's a weeper, but a weeper which leaves you feeling all tender and happy and hopeful.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Exactly, Scrappy! Getting to that through tears was surprising, though, when she never mentioned it being weepy.
Dear Frankie is good. It makes me sad that Gerard Butler makes crappy movies.
The American President boils down all that is both good and bad about Aaron Sorkin, the comradarie and snark as well as the over-the-top preachiness.
Oh! Dirty Dancing!
My mind is working slow today.
I think I am weird, because I love rom-com, but did not like Notting Hill or Love Actually. Love Actually might have been better if it was just about The Prime Minister and the assistant?
I am a sucker for Hugh Grant, though, ever since Impromptu, which is one of my favorite movies ever. I liked Music and Lyrics a lot, though clearly not a great film. Also The Wedding Singer-- Drew is a pretty good rom com actress.
Love 10 things..... and When Harry Met Sally (but not Sleepless in Seattle or You've Got Mail).
Also, SMG did a really cute movie where she was a chef/baker and there was some sort of magical lobster called Simply Irresistible that was pretty cute.
But nothing, ever, beats The Awful Truth.
50 First Dates is a favorite also. Even Joe will watch that one with me.
Speed is a great romcom.
Aims reminded me--Wedding Singer I think of as a really good romcom.
I was about to say that aside from indie gay films the only romantic comedies I own are Amélie and Mamma Mia! but then I checked and was horrified to discover I also have that Amanda Bynes She's the Man movie.
