"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I am very sad that Le dîner de cons was remade as Dinner for Schmucks. That's just an awful title.

Because books.

I wasn't scared, but I was tense.

See, Blair Witch did it for me, although I was still a bit disappointed at the end. But PA only made me irritable, because they were so ... irritating.

I watch a *lot* of horror, though. Not torture stuff, but generally the scarier the better for me.

Our wings are not tired.

That's so funny, Amy! I was totally irritated with all of the Blair Witch cast and not so much with the PA cast.

move out and draw fire

So Mal watched Avatar over the weekend, and has spent the last hour poking holes in the plot. He seems most upset by Jake abandoning his blue banshee.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail Poster by Brandon Schaefer

Brandon Schaefer created this wonderful “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” poster or the “Crazy 4 Cult 4″ group show at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles which runs July 16th through August 8th.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Oh that is beautiful.

I loved L'Auberge Espagnole because of the way all the different languages and cultures came together in one household. I did think some fo the characters were mean but not all of them and I found their interactions to be more realistic than in your average USian film.

I'm watching Unforgiven again on AMC (they're having a Clint day). Every time I watch this movie, I get something new out of it. I just noticed this time through that the very first scene of the film is about the specific decisions that Little Bill and Skinny make that lead directly to their deaths at the hands of William Munny at the film's climax.

I haven't trusted science since I saw the film "Flubber."

We just watched The Crazies, which is a remake of a George Romero movie from the 70s. I liked it, and it passed my horror movie test of people actually acting intelligently. I only yelled at the screen a few times. Timothy Olyphant and Radha Mitchell as the main characters, and the wife was just as smart and effective and active as the husband.

Because books.

Good to know, Dana! I thought it looked good, and I can always use more Timothy Olyphant in my life.

I love Unforgiven, Sean. I watched it yesterday, too. Really a masterpiece, I think.
