Crap. Looks like Night'll be getting more studio funding.
Plus a hearty round of "movie criticism doesn't matter".
Though I bet the receipts (I wanted to say BO, except I don't think the stench is coming off of this one anytime soon) drop off precipitously by next weekend.
Btw, Raq, your name came up this morning.
Emmett came out into the living room playing with the letter opener/dagger you sent him.
Matilda asked what it was and he explained, but he didn't remember who gave it to him.
"That's from Raq," I said. "Her husband's a diplomat and she got that in Greece. Or maybe Turkey."
"Really? That's badass!"
I went in with low expectations. And I was disappointed. CJ enjoyed it.
Now we are home and watching Precious.
I liked it, but, you know, Simon fan.
I watched Generation Kill over Christmas once.
My amusements are not like other people's.
Yeah, not a rainbows and sunshine movie. I hadn't seen it before and wow. Wow.
I just watched three
Resident Evil
movies in a row. I like how it's a continuing story, and each movie has a different sort of feel to it. Also, I can't think of many other horror franchises (besides Alien and, oh, Ginger Snaps) where the main characters are women. Every movie passes the Bechdel test with flying colors.
They all have their strengths and weaknesses, but they're all pretty good. Looking forward to the fourth one.
