A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
My boyfriend and I came up with a sequel - Purranormal Activity.
"OMG! My keys are in the middle of the floor! How'd they get there?!" *flash to our cat*
- cat pawprints in baby powder on the floor*
- our feet being attacked by the cat while we scream in terror* (us on the bed and him on the floor so we don't see him)
- strange creaking noises and thunderous "herd of elephant" noises as he sneaks or runs at full speed around the apartment*
I thought the group in "Day Dawn of the Dead" did really well for the first three-quarters of the movie. I think that's the right installment in the franchise -- Sarah Polley, people taking refuge in a shopping mall.
Oh, Sarah Polley's character was definitely not a dumbass in that movie. Others were, though.
It was brilliant right up until they were like "We can't stay here forever."
Yes, you can! You have food, water, guns, and locked doors!
That's the Dawn of the Dead remake.
Maybe I should just go with "*Time of Day* of the Dead."
Rayne, you should totally make that as a YouTube vid.
Ripley is not a dumbass.
Maybe I should just go with "*Time of Day* of the Dead."
Unfortunately, there's also "Land" and "Survival" now, so he's branched out.
