Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought it was pretty silly. And not always in the good way. IO9 had a good point about origins--this movie spends a lot of time on it, and really? Don't care.

Rampage was pretty awful. Mr T was no thespian, but he had a thing. Rampage has no thing.

Bradley Cooper was brilliantly cast. Perfect Face. Liam was a bit lacking in the Hannibal department. Sharlto was pretty fucking nuts. Good job there.

Jessica Biel's character was so stupid that I can't fault her for it. I've seen her be decent, but her character had no redeeming features.

As for action--there are two notable points in The Losers where you go "Really? That can happen? What are the odds?" right at the climax.

That's about every action scene in this movie. And they're not cleanly shot. They seemed to dim the lights, and we didn't really even get to see Rampage fight, which was a big disappointment for me.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Okay, everyone was right about Josie and the Pussycats. That was great. It was pretty silly, and in the good way. Just what I needed.

Scott Pilgrim evil exes movie posters. Which is making me want to rush right out and buy the comics right now.

move out and draw fire

I really want a Josie and the Pussycats pack for Rock Band. Fun movie, fun soundtrack.

Yeah, the songs were actually good! And apparently the actors played them themselves, which is pretty cool. Though Rachael Leigh Cook's singing was dubbed by Kay Hanley from Letters to Cleo.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Compassionately intolerant

Treasure Trove of Silent Films found in New Zealand.

That is amazing.

Has anyone seen Forgotten Silver? If you haven't, I highly recommend it...though I'm loathe to spoil it for newbies, I'll link to its wiki page for them that don't care.

The cache of films mentioned in David's link could have lent a lot to Forgotten Silver.

I just love the idea of it, how it was made, how it was presented and even the aftermath.

Peter Jackson...that guy has some spicy brains...along with a deliciously twisted sense of humour.

Saw Clash of the Titans, that was definitely worth the dollar movie price. A nice quest in an impressive landscape. And I liked Io.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I think we're going to see A-Team tonight. I just want fun, silly, plotless, etc. Plus Bradley Cooper shirtless, which I am not mentioning to The Boy.
