this is what I'm afraid of. Today my cashier said, "I don't read about the movies." Dude. You've been walking by the poster for a month.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

If I were the cashier, it would be hysterical amnesia, and quite forgiveable, of course.
New Images from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
I wasn't excited about Ridley Scott's Robin Hood but I just heard Brian Helgeland did extensive script rewrites. I loved his Knight's Tale. I wonder if this will have a similar flavor.
Is that the one where the same actor is playing Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham?
I'm not sure. There's no one currently cast as the sheriff. Russell Crowe is Robin.
just watched 17 Again. it's kind of adorable. as is Zac Efron when he isn't candy-coated and Disneyfied.
Oh. Is that what my students were on about.
Finally saw Coraline today. Sadly in 2-D, but that's my own fault for not getting to it sooner. LOVED IT. But still sad I missed it in 3-D. Also, I want a Bat!Scottish Terrier.
Paging Strega: I just saw Miller's Crossing. It took me a while to get into it, but once I had a better idea of what was actually important, I found it interesting and noir-y. I liked it, but it just seemed like a good, solid flick, nothing particularly impressive like Blood Simple or No Country for Old Men. There wasn't a great deal of tension in the movie since everything just seemed to happen as it was going to; there were only a few scenes where I truly felt invested in the outcome.
