Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I could see Tim Burton doing Lidsville.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

In theory, one could breed a heavy draft for palomino color, but I don't think there's a huge market for it.

Thank you, Bev, for bringing up the Belgians. Pershies are still my favorite horse evaaaaaar, but I love all draft horses.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I had remained blissfully unaware of this up until today. Now I must share.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

That is disturbing. I wish I had not clicked that link.

Because books.

Not clicking the link, since I read the URL. Ugh.

Pershies are still my favorite horse evaaaaaar, but I love all draft horses.

My favorite thing at the NY State Fair every year is the Clydesdales. So ginormous and beautiful.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I love me a Shire. [link] Also, I used to dream of having a TB/Perch cross, before I realized that the ideal size horse for me was 15.3.

Art Crawl!!!

I was just having a conversation with my cousin about the 3 youngsters she has. When the 3-year old was rising 2, she was concerned that he wasn't going to be big enough for her. (These are thoroughbreds.) Now he is over 16 hands and really substantial. He reminds her of Job - a half-percheron from her childhood. She thinks that if you told somebody that he was a perch-cross they would believe it.
