Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

Yeah, I think a major problem with the marketing was the lack of it. I did see a trailer for the Losers... last summer? And it looked fun. But I only knew it was actually in theaters now from B.org.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've seen some ads on the TV, but I kept thinking Chris Evans was Freddie Prinze Junior. From 10 years ago.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

the fact that I don't recognize anyone on the above list except Saldana

Okay, I'm gonna be erika/bon bon for a moment here and say "The Wire!" You have to watch it. I fell for Idris Elba some other way...I'm not sure how or why I do that. But he's the guy on the cast list with the most unimpeachable cred.

I guess there are people on the planet who haven't seen the new Star Trek and don't watch Supernatural, but I'm not sure about their quality of life.

And I realise I totally think of Chris Evans as more famous than he is. Fantastic Four? Cellular? Push? Sunshine?

Fantastic Four is the only movie on that list that means anything to me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've seen three out of four on that list, but I doubt I could pick Chris Evans out of a lineup. If you showed me a picture of him I'd probably say "Oh yeah, that guy!"

You should totally see Sunshine, and I think you should see Push. I haven't seen it myself, yet, but have heard good things about it. It's on my list as a good superheroish flick.

Oh! That's what I say about Sam Worthington. But Chris is cute and has charisma.

Because books.

I felt like I saw commercials for The Losers all over, but I realize a lot of them aired during SPN reruns on TNT, so.

Heh. It's not great, but I don't think either of those things are the problem.

I know who Idris Elba is. I don't think I would recognize Chris Evans' name if it weren't for all the Captain America stuff lately. I saw Fantastic Four on TV, so if he's identified that way I kinda know who he is, although... he seems like a completely generic leading man to me. I certainly wouldn't be able to identify him if you showed me a picture.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Okay, I'll give you that I should watch The Wire (I did see the very first season when it was on and have caught scattered episodes while my housemate was mainlining seasons), but I'm not a big sci-fi or superhero fan. I didn't even consider watching Star Trek for my Oscar blitz.

Fantastic Four? Cellular? Push? Sunshine?

I haven't seen any of these.

And on first run SPN on the CW. Way to go to break out, guys.

All of you non-Chris-Evans-knowers have earwormed me hard with that song from The Losers. It almost hurts.

He's very genre, what with the Captain America appearances coming up, as well as Scott Pilgrim. So y'all may never see him in anything, if that's not how your tastes run. But he's incredibly charming, and not a little bit cute. And built all to hell.
