You guys had a riot? On account of me? A real riot?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I've seen 27 of them, and many of the ones I have seen aren't really my favorite films.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I've seen 50 of those.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've seen 59 of the All-Time Greats, less than I would have thought.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

There are 25 off the first list I haven't seen and only 12 on the second. Not sure I agree much with either list.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

Yeah, so I found Kick-Ass to be highly disturbing and upsetting. I found nothing amusing or entertaining about casual murder.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've seen 92 of the all-time greats. (Titanic being one of the unseen.)

I found nothing amusing or entertaining about casual murder.

How many people do you casually kill in Assassin's Creed? Answer: 0. How many people killed in Kickass: 0. All fictional deaths. Of course they're different media, but people have made that claim about shooter games. Were you upset by the slaughter in Kill Bill?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sean, are you a fan at all of Tarentino or John Woo? The violence of Kick-Ass seemed on that level to me - kinda' cartoonish in its absurdity.

eta: Terentino x-post.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Kickass: To me, the part that was most upsetting was what Jessica's husband pointed out: the Daniel Pearl visual references. That was at once a bit unnecessary and did not really advance the plot. On the one hand, nothing about that setup needed it to be "televised." On the other hand, given the movie's constant references to MySpace, and youtube, etc. I think the scene was faithful to the movie even if I found it unnecessary.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

85 on the first list, and 82 of the modern classics. I'm sort of surprised by the latter.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

holy cow, I've seen 68 of the movies on the all time list. I would have thought I'd be in the 40s.

I watch a lot of movies, but I can't beat Megan.
