Mal ,'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

If you get a chance to rent "Taking Woodstock", take it. It really is a fresh take on story we think we all know and I liked it very much...I think that means that that article about "The Best Movies Nobody Saw in '08" or what-have-you is three for three with me.
I was so stoked to see that until Demetri Martin hit the talk show circuit and spent his time complaining about how icky it was to have to kiss a man instead of promoting the movie. It pissed me off so much I never saw the film (by all reports an excellent one) because I knew I'd sit there staring daggers at him the whole time instead of enjoying the story.
Here's an Important Thing for you to remember, asshole: if the idea of having to kiss another guy traumatizes you so, don't sign on to play a gay man in the movie based on his autobiographical novel.
We saw it, and it was nicely done, very atmospheric, some great character moments and performances.
Here's my shallow beef: I was under the impression, mistaken I guess, that JDM played his closeted lover. And ... not so much. So that was disappointing.
Wow, Matt, that's not so adult of him...I guess he's more like his(imo,) exceedingly immature routines than he is like what he showed in the movie. Which is really good and gave no indication that he ever felt that way. I hate when their interviews made me think less of someone.
Oh cool, I just found out this weekend is a tribute for Memphis' 1960s TV horror host Sivad, and they're screening I Was a Teenage Werewolf Saturday and The Giant Claw and From Hell It came as a double feature Sunday.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan talks The Losers (and a bit of Watchmen). And some Supernatural, but the interview seems to have been done before news of the renewal came down, so I don't know if it counts as spoilery or not. It's at the end.
Oh, excellent interview! Nice and meaty. (Except they spelled Bisou wrong.)
For what it's worth, I had never heard those SPN rumors. Weird.
They spelled Jensen wrong too.
The SPN stuff is way weird. Seven years? Huh?
