A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Produced, not directed.

I have no doubt that Roger Corman could at age 99, roll out of bed and complete a movie by dinner using nothing but his iPhone.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Why would a sharktopus have multiple mouths?

You'll never by a SyFy original movies producer with an attitude like that!

Thrive to spite them

ooh Multiple mouth Sharktopus -- I see an epic watch and post!

I recorded The Doughgirls off TCM and I'm about half way finished and it's really good.

Actually I have a ton of movies off TCM on my dvr and I need to get through them. I watched the end a Call Me Madam with Ethel Merman -- I want to see the whole thing. The clothes are just to die for and it's got Donald O'Connor.

Last night Mom and I watched most of Singin' in the Rain - she realized she's never seen the movie. It was so late but I kept saying "oh this is a good number, oh this is a good part!" finally I admitted the whole movie is good numbers and good parts. I need to own that movie.

Yeah. This is probably true. I feel shame.

Hee. Now I have to watch Sharktopus just for the mouths. You like how I have to work up a reason to watch?

Art Crawl!!!

Work up a reason? It's called Sharktopus, isn't that reason enough?

That job has trumped my childhood dream of being a writer for Weekly World News. Because really, they're the same thing, but one has a bigger budget!

Well, and the possibility of telling friends of ita what to do, so tread carefully.

I'm not entirely sure SyFy originals budgets trump what the Weekly World News spends on a regular column.
