There's a very chaotic live version of Wake Up in this video. It starts about halfway through, but you should really watch them do Neon Bible in a freight elevator first. It's amazing.

'Safe'
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

But I'm probably the only one here to whom "Where the Wild Things Are" doesn't mean anything except as an embarrassingly bad S4 Buffy episode, even after watching the trailer.
I have already made the purchase of WTWTA, in anticipation of the lowercase tea. Along with a few Dr Seuss works and "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus".
Awesome in an elevator!
Juliebird, I went back and added the link.
I found it on youtube anyway.
I would not want to be the dude ripping the magazines.
Thanks, Sue!

Actual movie question: I have a memory of Jason Statham doing a voice for WthWTA. Was it a dream? I do have a tendency for vivid, realistic/mundane dreams that I occasionally have a hard time sorting from reality. Or is Statham doing a voice for another movie?
If no and no, then I totally had a dream that Statham was the voice for some monster/creature.
I remember hearing that the voice actors had been changed but I don't think Jason Statham was ever attached.
Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus - is the bomb. I *love* it.
This tragedy is easily remedied. Hie thee to a library or book store. Your life will be richer for it.
Totally concur with this. A singular touchstone of my childhood.
I believe I actually cried the first time I read WtWTA to Owen.
