Macbeth?
Yep! McKellen on stage and McAvoy in that modern reworking that's like Shakespeare crossed with Top Chef.
Rochester?
You got it. The William Hurt/Charlotte Gainsbourg version is *terrible*. Whoever heard of a blond Rochester anyway? I'm very partial to the newest BBC adaptation with Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens, although my fave still remains the mini from early '80's with Timothy Dalton as Rochester.
They did film the McKellen/Dench Macbeth for the BBC--it's very good.
When did Fiennes play Zeus, juliana?

Oh, so good. I loved that one.
John Leguizamo and Alexis Denisof.
I totally would have gotten that! Uh, by a guess that it had to be that play. Not that I knew AD had played him.
Matthew Newman and Antonio Banderas.
Jason Isaacs and Dustin Hoffman.
I'll note that much of my familiarity with the often-mediocre early Denisof oeuvre is directly and TOTALLY Plei's fault.
