I could never choose between NPH and Gervais. I love them both so much!
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
me too msbelle! I had a really interesting convo about the movie with a friend who's an MFCC.
I do not know what an MFCC is.
I Googled. Marriage, Family, and Child Counselor.
P-C's right. Sorry, I didn't mean to be inscrutable. I was just being lazy.
Quick poll.
Who's your cinematic badass? And what's their most badass scene?
Just go with your gut here.
Chow Yun Fat - opening scene of Hard Boiled.
It's cliché, but I'd say Clint Eastwood, in almost anything. If I had to pick a scene, either "Do you feel lucky?" or the final shootout in A Fistful of Dollars.
Favorite badass characters? Terrance Stamp in The Limey, Alain Delon in Le Samourai, and Anne Parillaud or Jean Reno in Nikita. Runner-up goes to Michael Caine in Get Carter, only because I didn't really like the movie overall.
Terence Stamp in The Limey. But no specific scence.
HA!! Most excellent x-post!
