I should have mentioned that I really liked Adventureland, and you should all definitely see it.
I saw the Wild Things movie last weekend and it made me cry. Liked it a lot. Didn't love it as much as I thought I would, though. I, as per usual, found myself nodding along with Ebert's review.
Possibly this is the first time I've posted a link to xkcd in Movies?
So Bad It's Worse
overall, I liked
The Protector.
I've heard it has the longest unedited fight sequence.
Geek Steal: Up to 60% off Zombie Movie DVDs!
As a part of its Halloween DVD Sale, through October 31, Amazon is selling zombie movies on DVD for up to 60% off.
...
So, yeah, you’ve got a lot to choose from. But, more importantly… isn’t a sale the only way you can rationalize owning the unrated edition of Zombie Strippers, you twisted puppy?
So Bad It's Worse
Since when is Rocky Horror so bad its good in the same category with Plan 9?!
Rocky Horror is a thing unto itself. It cannot be compared to anything else. Nor can Plan 9, for that matter, but each for their own unique reasons.
Just saw
An Education.
I recommend it--great script by Nick Hornby (except the last 20 minutes or so, which feels a bit superfluous) and Carey Mulligan, who was Sally Sparrow in "Blink," is completely brilliant.

That's
why she's so familiar.
Anybody seen
The Vampire's Assistant
? I'm intrigued because I think John C Riley could really chew the scenery....
The commercials have actually made me want to see it. I don't expect it to be *good,* per se, but it looks entertaining.
