"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

just make sure it is a good costume, because bad ones make you look like you are in the Blue Man Group.

move out and draw fire

I was sort of thinking about the black wrestling singlet.

Actually the amount of clothing was a recent fight at work - the guy who introduced me to Watchmen lo these many years ago is preparing for the movie to suck, and one of his complaints is that in a teaser, Dr. M is wearing small pants.

So we had to go to the book and determine that he loses his clothes as he loses his humanity.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

determine that he loses his clothes as he loses his humanity.

I wonder if that could be a pickup line: "Hey baby, wanna come back to my place... and lose your humanity?"

It's safe to say I've never invented a good pickup line....

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I saw a neat little sci-fi film last night called Moon, starring Sam Rockwell and directed by David Bowie's son (Duncan Jones, formerly Zowie Bowie). It had an awesome retro production design - the sets looked like they'd been borrowed from 2001 and Silent Running - and was just generally a really solid piece of old fashioned sci-fi storytelling. No shocking twists, no big climactic set pieces. Just good. Very satisfying.

And Kevin Spacey was pleasantly HAL-esque as the voice of the computer.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I kinda miss those old-fashioned SciFi flicks that depended on, you know, plot versus big explosions and endless CGI to get the point across. Is this something coming out soon, Jess, or something that's been out and underestimated by the viewing public?

So we had to go to the book and determine that he loses his clothes as he loses his humanity.

Would that this had been the case for Angel.

It was at Sundance, and I think it's being released in June.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Would that this had been the case for Angel.

instead of which he lost his humanity when he lost his clothes.

I saw Coraline last night despite not being really in the mood for moviegoing, and had a blast. I'd definitely recommend it to just about anyone.

When Other Mother stretched up to full emaciated height, I had the uncharitable thought "So this is one of those movies where they blend animation and live action?"

I completely lost it during the performance by Miss Spink and Miss Forcible. As did every other adult in the theater.
