In both the book and the movie, Eddie Blake attempts to rape Sally Jupiter while they're both in The Minutemen. Years later, she cheats on her husband with him (and gets pregnant).

So the screenwriter is basically saying, "Sure, my movie tried to rape you, but deep down you know you wanted it."

I think I'm most annoyed that Hayter seems to think the reason Sally slept with Eddie all those years later is because she'd been thinking about him, craving him ever since he tried to rape her. That he finishes his plea with that thought makes we wonder if he believes it's the central theme of the comic.
