Lurching from one disaster to the next.

Oh and three films that look interesting:

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

On the Paranormal Activity front, I've heard good things about it, but am somewhat reluctant to travel and see it. As someone who's had a few creepy nighttime things happen over the years, I suspect it would weird me out in ways that more blatant in-your-face horror movies can't.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I saw PA last year. It creeped everyone out at the screening but me -- even so it's still a no-budget movie with non-actors, not the second coming of Halloween.

Huh. Interesting article on the flopping of Jennifer's Body [link] which in turn points to another interesting link [link] which points to someone who ran the numbers that matched my gut-glance at Rotten Tomatoes on the genderskew in reviews. [link]

(I maintain that, while uneven, it's the most thought-provoking movie I've seen in a long time.)

Because books.

I pissed I didn't get it to see it with being sick, and I'm not sure it's around up here anymore.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

I want to see Good Hair. The commercials crack me up!

It'll play well on the small screen. I'm going to buy it on DVD as soon as it comes out.

Because books.

It sounds like it's going to have a long, culty life on DVD, so. And it is still here! But I don't know if that'll be true this weekend.

Whatever online service sells advance tickets is your friend for things like this, though usually only the Weds. before Friday.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

My Man Godfrey is on TCM right now. I've never seen it and come to think of it, I don't think I've ever seen anything Lombard or Powell. So I will fix this, now.
