Zoe: Captain will come up with a plan. Kaylee: That's good. Right? Zoe: Possibly you're not recalling some of his previous plans.

Because books.

Just saw District 9. Really good, if a bit heavy-handed in the beginning. Great effects, and the guy who played Wikes was great.

Got previews for Zombieland, Legion, Surrogates, and Shutter Island, which still said it was coming in October, although I heard it got moved to February of next year, I think? It looks wonderful -- I'm wondering why they moved it.

Legion looks like it could be either awesome or a train wreck, but Zombieland just looks like plain old fun.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Shutter Island is that Scorsese DiCaprio thing, right? Looks creepy. Anyway, I think I read that it got moved to next year for purely financial reasons, the studio wants the marketing expenses to come out of next years budget or something like that.

Oh, that makes sense. And yeah, it's another Scorsese/DiCaprio. It does look good, and I just read it was based on a Dennis Lehane novel, which makes me want to read it first.

Maybe they want to redo the Shutter Island promos so they don't give away the entire story. Because I was more interested in it before I saw the trailer, and went "Oh. Seriously?"

Always Anti-fascist!

I liked the book, but I don't like Di Caprio as much as Scorcese does.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I just saw a trailer for a movie called Bottle Shock that I think I'm now going to have to rent. It's about the upstart California wine business vs. France in the 70's with Alan Rickman and Eliza Dushku.

Good to hear. This weekend I watched "Duplicity" "Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist" and "The Secret Life of Bees" enjoyed them all, but not as much as last weekend's "James & the Giant Peach" "Taken" and "Milk" Next week Looks like, "Slumdog Millionaire" "The Duchess" and "Adventureland" depending on whether or not I swap out "Bottle Shock" for one of those.

New job has its perks.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I just watched "Nick & Nora" also and I literally covered my eyes during a particular bathroom scene. I just could not accept that someone (no matter how drunk) would go back for gum.

Nope.

Not gonna imagine it or see it.

Yeah, not great, but fun. And pretty. I'd put that ahead of The Duchess.
